What does the training consist of?

The program will be conducted in person using an active methodology based on developing participants' skills, which enables the practical application of everything learned.</p>
<p>Learning resources and the exchange of experiences between new educators and trainers are the main elements of a reference model.</p>
<p>During the training, participants will have access to a collection of unique and exclusive underwater photographs that they can use when preparing the different teaching topics.</p>
<p>The entire course offers individualized assessment and monitoring of each future educator.<br>Limited places available.

A unique training program

What does Vellmarí Training include?

32 academic hours

Two areas of learning spread over three days.<br>Academic sessions: Learning methodology and academic presentations.<br>Practical sessions: Learning and demonstration of outdoor skills.

Internships at Dive Camp

Level I Participate in 5 practical sessions during 1 week of Dive Camp.<br>Level II Participate in 10 practical workshops during 2 weeks of Dive Camp.<br>Level III Participate in 5 practical workshops during 1 week and 5 practical water activities during 1 week.<br>All levels: 2 practical sessions in the Winter Sea Classroom.

Training on biodiversity

With the Marine Ecology, Fish Identification, Marine Plants and Algae program from Vellmari/SSI, you will learn how marine organisms interact with each other and with their environment. You will also discover how different communities relate to each other and how the different ecosystems of the ocean and patterns of different fish in the Mediterranean are linked. With everything you will have learned, you will know how to prepare a marine workshop and will have no difficulty in developing your outdoor practice. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the conservation projects of the Vellmari Association and collaborate on some of them.

Certified title

Recognized by Vellmari in collaboration with SSI.<br>This certificate guarantees that the holder has passed the assessment tests in accordance with the standards of the Vellmari Marine Education program.

What do I need to enroll in the training?

The training is offered at three different levels, adapted to the participants' knowledge by the educators:

Level I: Expert Educator

Have extensive knowledge in one or more fields of marine science, and have teaching experience in both primary and secondary education as well as environmental education. Be familiar with ICT when developing materials and teaching classes.

Level II: Advanced

Have knowledge of marine biodiversity, marine ecosystems, or related topics, and have experience teaching elementary and/or secondary school students.

Level III: Assistant

Educators without teaching experience who are new to the world of environmental education.
